One of the most important aspects to chemistry is the research done in order to obtain new information to  or in order to back up claims previously made. Research for chemistry is, for the most part, done in a lab. The labs are often located at Universities, and are staffed by chemists with their doctorate degree. They have been trained to use all the equipment within that lab, and are highly qualified for the job. The data obtained from the research is backed up by more than one person, which prevents most errors that could occur. The chemists also do multiple trials of one experiment in order to make sure the data is always consistent, and that the first trial was not a weird fluke that may have occurred.

The research can also be done outside the lab, generally when chemists are looking at other scientific articles that are reputable. This research can help to develop their own research, in order to later expand upon their knowledge and create new experiments to test out in the lab. Both lab research and written research is extremely important in this field, because they help out the chemists in different ways.

The research done by chemists helps to provide the scientist with the evidence and proof they need in order to backup their claim (Evidence and Proof). It also helps to provide information to the chemists, who will in turn convey the knowledge to an audience. Without doing research in a highly professional manner, the science cannot be proven correctly.
